Characteristic features

  • Regular licking helps prevent the development of rumen acidosis;
  • Maintains an optimal level of mineral supply to the cow’s body;
  • Stimulates rumination;
  • Convenient for use both on the farm and on pasture;
  • Increases appetite by stimulating saliva production;
  • Especially important to use the lick block when feed mix quality is low, to prevent reduced feed intake.

Direction for use

The lick block in a container is placed one unit at the beginning and at the end of the feed alley in each section under loose housing conditions. The daily intake for young stock ranges from 40 to 100 g per head, depending on age and the degree of mineral and vitamin deficiency in the diet. On average, 1.2–3 kg per head is required per month. One bucket (25 kg) can supply 8 to 20 head of young cattle.
