The lick is designed for dairy cows with an annual milk yield exceeding 5,500 kg. It is also suitable for cows in early lactation. The product helps optimize feed intake intensity in high-producing cows. The lick block has sufficient hardness to retain its properties during use on the farm and on pasture. During licking, the cow receives a controlled and regulated additional supply of minerals and vitamins, which is especially important for high-yielding cows.
Characteristic features
- While applying the lick allows to reduce or completely eliminate the amount of baking soda in the diet of dairy cows;
- Protects high-yielding cows from the development of trace element and vitamin deficiencies;
- Relevant for farms experiencing difficulties with incorporating premixes into feeds (compound feeds);
- Stimulates cows to consume the basic diet;
- Increases feed conversion efficiency, thereby allows cows for better nutrients utilization;
- It is necessary while changing diet or when switching cows from feeds from one silage/haylage pit to another.
Direction for use
The lick block in a container is placed one unit at the beginning and at the end of the feed alley in each section under loose housing conditions. The daily intake for young stock ranges from 40 to 100 g per head, depending on age and the degree of mineral and vitamin deficiency in the diet. On average, 1.2–3 kg per head is required per month. One bucket (25 kg) can supply 8 to 20 head of young cattle.
Packaging
Available in two forms: 25kg buckets and 70kg tubs.
Storage
6 months shelf life from the production date.
